Marcus Foster: Video & Quote Of The Day!

Video Via: Youtube

"My mum had a piano in her house, and I just started playing. I tried to learn the recorder for a little bit, and then the violin and it wasn’t really working. I listened to a lot of Beatles stuff and started doing recitals at school. I just like performing, I guess. I was a massive attention-seeker as a child."

Article: Sam Bradley's "Minor Tour" is MAJOR!

This great article is getting me so excited for Sam's concert in the next few weeks!! Yay!

To say that Sam Bradley is an old soul seems too cliché; Yet how else could a 24 year old who remains humble in the face of fame, involves himself in philanthropy and appreciates Ray Charles be described? Without a doubt, Bradley is a rare gem in the music industry; He has stayed true to his blues-rock roots while opening up to possibilities of country and folk as well. Still relatively new to the music scene, he has already put out a self titled EP (2009) as well as an album entitled Zuni (2010). While most his age are finding places to live, beefing up resumes and changing their majors for the 3rd time, Bradley is making the road his home, gaining recognition for his tours and even co-writing for a soundtrack to one of the most popular movie series of our time.

Bradley is currently at the start of his "Minor Tour", which has him playing in cities across North America. Backed by his friends and band mates (Mark Kerrey - Drums, Jeff Riedlinger - Bass and John Notto - Guitar) Bradley will be sharing his infectiously warm personality and his poetic songs to long-time and first-time listeners. Audiences everywhere have long awaited a headlining tour, and it seems that Bradley is just as excited to be part of it all.

Article: Marcus Foster is Guardian UK's Musician of The Day!

Awww.... You know what is? That's awesome, that's what!

Hometown: London.

The lineup: Marcus Foster (vocals, guitar).

The background: We've just been interviewing an artist whose music suggests a young, black Jeffrey Dahmer trapped in a charnel house with Dr Dre and DJ Screw, which as you can imagine was always going to be a pretty hard act to follow. But we're going to at least try to sustain the mood of grisly pleasure, tomorrow anyway, with one of Tyler, the Creator's favourite new musicians, James Pants.

Today, meanwhile, as something of a respite we present a gentleman, 24 years young, with the voice of a weathered veteran of several bar wars. We've been told that he is "honest" (unlike all the other musicians around, who lie constantly) and "real" (compared to his peers, who are made out of polymers) and that there is "no one quite like him today".

. . .

Congratulations, Marcus!

Article/Interview: Robert Pattinson Talks About Writing Songs

In a recent interview with ElMundo.es, Robert Pattinson answered a several fans questions while promoting his current movie in theatres, Water for Elephants. His music was brought up and here's what he had to say:

12. Hello, Robert. We could hear singing, play the piano, guitar … Even composing songs. “Never Think” and “Let Me Sign”, which appear on the soundtrack to “Twilight,” and “I Was Broken” sound great. I guess it is difficult to do both a film career and a musical career, but do you intend release a record? Are you already working on it? A greeting and good luck in everything. Raquel

I’m writing songs. But without thinking of a CD.

Oh, could you just imagine! I'm hopeful for some new music... just saying. No pressure, Rob! ;) I'll wait patiently, of course!
